I fancy this as that game where they shock us with the level of performance against one of the big boys and we put in an excellent rear guard action and hold out after an early goal 1-0 with Mateta scoring as he continues his quest to pip Haaland for the golden boot Made in Bromley

They swarmed all over Newcastle from the kick-off yesterday and overwhelmed what had been one of the tightest defences in the PL. Somehow it stayed 0-2, but they could and probably should have scored a few more. If Liverpool play like that it is hard to see anything but a comprehensive defeat. However, we are at home and hopefully their tie with Real on Tuesday might tire them out a bit. 0-2 Liverpool

They swarmed all over Newcastle from the kick-off yesterday and overwhelmed what had been one of the tightest defences in the PL. Somehow it stayed 0-2, but they could and probably should have scored a few more. If Liverpool play like that it is hard to see anything but a comprehensive defeat. However, we are at home and hopefully their tie with Real on Tuesday might tire them out a bit.

1-3 to Liverpool with a consolation goal from Guehi in the 78th minute after a corner. The experiment of playing Richards at left back to replace the injured Mitchell fails dismally with Salah running riot. The good news is that I’m hopeless at predictions.

The experiment of playing Richards at left back to replace the injured Mitchell fails dismally with Salah running riot.
