Make kids eat Kale or spinach. I had to choke down piles of the stuff so it's only fair. And liver because "it's good for you".

unless I forget, I aim to take D & a zinc tablet daily.
Luckily I get a lot in summer, working outside.

Yum yum to liver although I don't get to eat it very often as I'm the only one in the family who likes it.

The problem with liver is that most people tend to overcook it as it shouldn't be boiled to buggery as advised in old recipe books but flash fried like a steak

The same approach which suggested vegetables should be boiled into mushy submission. I haven't eaten liver for decades. It may be the only type of meat I've been put off.

I was diagnosed with a vitamin B deficiency a couple of years ago for which I have to take daily supplements, and also high dose jabs for a few consecutive days about once a year now. Apparently it's something that vegetarians suffer with as we mainly source vitamin B from meat. This is strange because if a cow stands still long enough I'll put a slice of bread each side and eat it !

On one of my visits to the quack, he said that he had seen a huge increase in vitamin B deficiency recently, and his personal thoughts were that it could be related to either covid or the vaccine, but he had nothing concrete to prove it one way or the other.

Regarding vitamin D, I'm going to ask my doctor if he can prescribe holidays to the Maldives to boost my sun intake.

I always suspect that they were boiled so much that they had the nutritional value of toilet paper. I too remember the forced liver which no kid ever seems to like.

It's true that taste alter as we age. I believe it was an evolutionary change which stopped young children eating stray berries or other things which may be harmful - some food, like various vegetables, tastes much more bitter to children.
