Sadly yes. Then Parish will have seen other clubs like Everton pump the sort of cash we are screaming for him to spend to get into the top tier...

Quite. I'm all for judicious spending on new talent viz Eze and Olise rather than splurging big money on has-beens. I'm also quite happy for Palace to be consistently mid table as long as we are held there by a manager who encourages attacking football and is savvy enough to read the game and use our players in strategic substitutions.

Not much to ask is it?

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Fiances show otherwise and he was the one who allowed the two Americans people like to moan about into the club knowing they wasn't going to pump money into it.

World class academy LOL and who has this academy produced ??? you know he didn't fund that right it was down to Textor.

The same person who keeps bringing people with attachment to the club yes he is great at his job not going for talent but ties.

Takes more out of the club then puts in.

People need to stop living in the past because he was one of them that helped save the club (he also allowed it to almost go bust so he could get it for almost 0)

Last one hires a manager and fires him after what was it 6 games

Again ridiculous post. Most of the money for the Academy came from the sale of AWB, an academy graduate. Look at the results of the Academy teams, there are several outstanding prospects but it takes time for them to progress.
When did SP nearly allow the club to go bust? I have criticised SP many times on here but please get your facts correct

The Academy also gives us a kind of insurance if we get relegated. We hopefully won't have to spend big with losing sky money etc .If our youngsters can then step up and save transfer funds.

Adi Hutter? Does anyone know it he's any good? Or does he just have a good agent?

Hutter won the league in both Austria and Switzerland, with RB Salzburg and Young Boys.

He spent 3 seasons at Eintracht Frankfurt finishing 7th,9th and 5th in the Bundesliga and reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League.

He left to join Borussia Moenchengladbach, they finished the season in 10th place which is below where they ended the previous season, he departed last May and was replaced by erstwhile Norwich manager Daniel Farke.
As far as I am aware he has not managed a club since he left BM.

Thanks Willo

Wiki confirms this. It seems he's been unemployed for the last year, no wonder he'd be delighted with a manager job in the PL! Whether he'd be the right manager for Palace is another matter, but at least he's had a lot of managerial experience, and has a defined style of play, which Parish might fit well with the Palace DNA.. I think we'd have to change our fullback style of play considerably which we've got to do anyway, given the age of Ward and Clyne. I'm not sure that Mitchell would fit his style of play either.

Just because Huetter ('e' inserted in the absence of an umlaut) may be 'desperate' to manage in the PL doesn't mean Palace have to fall over backwards to employ him. Of the foreign managers linked to us, Slot of Feyenoord may be the better option football style wise given his preference for 4-2-3-1 with 4-3-3 as his back-up. On the downside, Slot's not had as much managerial experience as Huetter.

Correct Holloway left because the club was amateur having him do multi jobs which was too much for him at this level.

Pullis you are wrong he would have stayed but the club didn't want to advance.

The same case with Big Sam (he had to beg the owners for extra funds in Jan)

More nonsense Palace do not have lots of people lining up for the job at all and have you forgotten many managers which turned them down Lampard was one of them.

SO you think because its best league and city managers would be begging to come laughable the club is run like semi pro setup and not even financial setup well.

Yes SP the man who has so much knowledge and experience who is world class at the role NOT

Wow, not only do you put the most negative (and largely wrong) spin on it you most definitely sound much more of a Pulis/Allardyce fan than a Palace one.
Lampard turned Palace down because he truly believed he is a Champions League manager. How's that working out?
Do you think he would turn Palace down if offered the job now? Now that reality has set in and he realises he would be lucky to be given an opportunity at Palace. If you think he'd still turn it down today you know even less of what you're talking about than I thought!

Unlikely, if the rumours about his naff interview in Summer of 21 are true. In any event he's hardly covered himself in glory in his PL management career to date.

I certainly do NOT envisage seeing Frank Lampard in the Home dugout at Selhurst Park next season.
