Positives already from the short training video.

I know these are not great to use but when you look at the ones with PV and first one with Roy back straight away can see difference plus it shows the players fitness really is a problem with many of them needing rests and you could see Wilf was breathing very heavy. (fitness issues cant be solved before next game and at this late stage of season but an improvement can happen)

Wilf showed what an a** he is as well the rest of players shake and hug the two R but Wilf didn't even look like he wanted to shake hands and didn't look happy.

Wilf is not ending his tenure with us on a high. I thought he'd want to demonstrate his value to a high profile suitor but he looks increasingly like a stocking filler.

It's impossible to tell what relationship Wilf and Roy have, trying to read into a 2 second clip. I seem to remember Wilf having a long and warm looking chat with Roy when Roy was back here with Watford. More than I would have expected.

Regarding fitness, aside from doing training, do the players do cardio as a group? Like I would assume they'd be doing extra running, or on a bike or treadmill for quite a bit each day to build up cardio. I noticed in the video that Schlupp looked rather portly.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

If this fitness problem is true, and more and more signs are emerging that it is - then that’s a complete outrage and a massive own goal - was it Pullis who said if you can’t be the best at least be the fittest - and had them pre season altitude training. PV deserves the sack for this alone imo

Many on boards are now chanting the lack of fitness mantra. In this day and age how can any team drop below required fitness levels because of a change of manager, surely whilst tactics might change fitness is a constant. If PV did not make the squad train enough then this would have been easy to see at his previous clubs surely

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I've been saying all season that Zaha is the problem not the solution. So many want to line up to kiss his arse but his service in the past is gone, history. Get rid, move on.

People have just assumed this because our club is bottom of the league for miles ran per game, tho Ben Foster and troy deeney were talking about this on his podcast and said its the most pointless stat in football as you could have players just constantly running around clueless. Plus there's no correlation between the league table and the table for miles per game.

Why are you turning on Willo? He merely set out three hypotheses, which have nothing to do with his past opinions on PV. Sorry if that's pedantic!

Q. Why do you want to work here?
A. Well I did consider staying at home more with my family or a billion other things I could do with my life including staying in employment where I am now, where I’m comfortable, but I want this role for the money you are offering. Either that or you know, your values, mission and culture or summink???

At this moment in time I refuse to believe Roy has no passion for football or Palace, even if it’s only a little. As for his remuneration, if he keeps palace up he’s worth the sum total of the players and board x10 as far as I’m concerned. Im really not bothered by nor care about it.

Precisely. The sanctimony exhibited by numerous posters on this topic is staggering. If 'value for money' is suddenly in vogue, then perhaps the club should start slashing some of the ridiculous amounts doled out to some of our hapless players.

Pretty bad timing as Osian only halfway through his notepad.
Be interesting to see Roy's first team selection as sure the flair players and too tap football from the back may take a back seat to Roy's park the bus philopsy and a tough tackling midfield

You don’t cover many miles when everyone is in their own half going from side too side
