Very sad to hear this news. I've been following Holmesdale for years now from afar, and always enjoyed Jamesey's reports, He will be sadly missed, my condolences to his wife, family and friends. RIP Jamesey.

How very sad. The last time we exchanged emails he said he didn't feel well enough to go to the next game, and over recent months I'd been fearing the worst. His reports had a wonderful "matey" quality, and I loved his frequent references to sitting down with a pint of Young's. A good man.

Year or so ago I questioned where he was on a post and he PM’d me! Told him I enjoyed his writing style and he said he appreciated the compliment. Him and Staffie are two massive losses RIP
