I’ve celebrated the win with 2 really good beers no longer made. Fullers Imperial Porter (10%) and a 330ml of Buxtons Lasker (16.7%) So pleased to get the win. Just a shame we can’t turn back the clock , make Roy 50 years old and have another 25 years in safe hands. Thanks Roy. You’ve made me drink 2 beers I save for special occasions!

By no means a classic ale, but I've discovered a lager that's easy to consume. St Bertin is an Alsace style lager from Lidl, and available in two strengths. I like it in the 2.6% abv version. Why the ...? I hear you ask. Well, 29p per 250ml bottle (£1.16 per litre) is one hell of a reason. It's light and refreshing, and great for the forthcoming heatwave.
