Yeah...I'm not sure how attractive a proposition we are at the moment.

A strong finish to the season and an impressive manager appointment will be needed to have any chance in convincing Connor or RLC

Or indeed anyone else

Why, oh why, oh why, are people so fixated with the ludicrus idea of getting CG or RLC back to the club, Its yesterdays news, will never happen, get over it, move on. IT. AIN'T. GONNA. HAPPEN.

A strong finish holds out the possibility of one of our academy players being loaned to Chelsea.

I wouldn't want the club to go through another summer chasing very expensive and in some cases overated players from Chelsea at the expense of missing out on genuine affordable targets

And we still need a striker

Firstly, can't see Gallagher coming back here. But still not sure he will leave Chelsea. But, if he did, it will be to perhaps Newcastle.

Chelsea have more before him they need to offload, ie. Pulisic, Ziyech, Lukaku, possibly even Havertz.

Biggest problem with Loftus Cheek for anyone interested, is that he is on something like £150k+ per week.

We will be priced out from the baggage they have created I am afraid

CG liked now with Liverpool

We don’t have the money to invest or should I say our investors do BUT
They choose to invest else where

That's not how it works. They may want to offload x, y, and z but who they'll actually be able to offload depends on whether there are clubs willing to buy them. If they need to sell players to trim their squad or for reasons of FFP or anything else, those that go first will be those that have ready and willing buyers. On that basis, Gallagher may well be among the first to leave simply because he's likely to be in higher demand. (He won't, however, be coming our way).

Probably because in CG’s case he was the best midfielder we’ve had since GT and Andy Gray 30 years ago and not having him this season has been a massive part of our lack of energy and drive throughout the team.

So despite you shouting at us in capitals, we are allowed to dream

Probably better off renaming this Newcastle Summer Fire sale, they'll be looking to offload some of the current squad I'd imagine to try & step up a notch or two

When you look at what Brighton has done (painful as it is to say), you quickly realise buying over-hyped "big club" failures will, 90% of the time, put you on the road to nowhere. For instance, Maitland Niles and Walker-Peters are taking Southampton down; meanwhile, a couple of Latin American no-names are taking Brighton into Europe. While there's always the exception that proves the rule, the bottom line is that we'd do well to give Chelsea (and Newcastle, and Liverpool, etc.) rejects a wide berth. Solanke is another one; he's not exactly pulled up trees at Bournemouth (following in the footsteps of Jordan Ibe), and the less said about Jesse Lingaard at Forest the better. We need a good international scouting network if we're really going to do some damage and if we're going to spend money domestically, I'd rather gamble on top Championship talent (Eze, Olise proving the model) than over-hyped cast offs from the top four.

Not loads in their squad I'd be interested in.

Jamal Lewis could be worth a gamble. Barely played for them the past 2 years, was very highly rated at Norwich. Could be an option to give Mitchell some competition.

Clickbait say Saint Maximin will be sold, I always liked the look of him.
