Chelsea specialise in creating "starlets" or at least hyping them up.
Billy Gilmour is currently not doing much at Brighon. Before him there was Josh McEachran who's at Milton Keynes Dons and has scored one goal in his career.

He is on 120k per week so he would be a bit on the expensive side . Not impossible though , Benteke was on the same , i know who id rather have and it wouldn't be Benteke .

Very odd that we were discussing this in the Jack Clarke thread this morning and a few hours later a journalist at "London World" says we're interested in him with absolutely no sources.

Could be a coincidence and call me cynical but a bit like they're just scouring forums for random rumours to create for clicks.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Can't see how he fits the profile of what we need

Unless he was willing to cut his wages in half (if they are indeed 100k+ per week) then this is a non-starter and that's even before looking at the fact he hasn't shown any form for years. Maybe he might shine with more time on the pitch, but seems like an expensive risk to me.

With Zaha's future undecided, we are bound to get linked with the likes of Hudson-Odoi whether there is genuine interest or not.

His career has stalled somewhat and he would definitely benefit from a fresh start somewhere.

I've never been over impressed with him. If Palace were to sign him then I hope we wouldn't be committing too much money to the deal.

£15m is what they are asking.. Which is reasonable but wages is the issue

In my opinion much better than the other crap we're being linked to. As far as I'm concerned, he can take a pay cut, he's not going to get the wages at any of the clubs who are going to want him.

Agreed, better option than D Grey.

He was exceptional at youth level and has shown glimpses in the men's game, but development has definitely stalled.

There's risk attached as others have said - fairly big wages and no guarantee that he ever does find consistency in the professional game.

The potential upside is massive though - this is a player who was subject to £35m bids from Bayern Munich as an 18 year old, his talent is undeniable, and if he does find a home here and hit some form, we have a player at a level we would never have been able to sign.

If we're talking a £15m fee and £100k in wages... I'd be very tempted.

Same age as Clarke and similar transfer fee; one has never played higher than the Championship and next to no involvement with the national set-up even at youth-level... the other has never played outside the top flight and a fully-fledged England international.

Still reckon he's exactly the sort of player we should be considering. Still young (22), has lost his way but undoubtedly has/had potential and presumably nowhere near as expensive as he once would have been.

Might come here and do nothing, or Roy might sort him out like he has done with Eze and suddenly we have a player on our hands.
