Roy's post-match on the pitch speech yesterday was somewhat muted and suggested he doesn't know yet what will be happening.It was neither an outrightly emotional farewell speech nor was it a, "see you next season" one either.

I can overlook the Chelseas stint as I doubt if anyone could do anything amidst the utter madness there. He is calm, intelligent and a good motivator - just what our younger players need. We need Hodgson-like stability now and no more experimenting with unproven ex-players like Vieira. Of the younger generation around he is the pick of the crop.

Your mode of ambition coupled with an absence of the resources to get us there = insolvency. We've been there and we don't want to go there again, thanks.

He's probably taken time out to relax and recover, probably knows a great deal of the vast reservoir of younger players at Chelsea, and has spending some time scouting for options

There will always be people quite happy just treading water forever though. Can I just ask though that if being ambitious leads to insolvency and we've been their before as you say then how come on both occasions we went into administration we weren't even in The Premiership?

One R apologies. If Parish the poser decides to keep Roy on in a director of football role, the only manager I can see working with him would be Gerrard. He was captain when RH was England manager and may see him as a guidance. Other managers would see RH as a threat to their job so tell Parish to go forth and multiply. Potter ex Brighton and all his staff especially Bruno is a Brighton legend. Would cause some animosity with the fans.

I believe that the tinkering and tactics Potter employ need a couple of relatively clever, precise footballers. What I see at Palace is a mixture of flair and some pace but I wouldn't call out players the most adaptable, or indeed the squad with the most footballing 'brains'. I believe both de Boer and Vieira went down the being too clever route, and I think Potter would be similar. Just an opinion of course. The other side of it is I'm not going to praise Brighton, of course.

Potter would be a massive disaster, a man with rigid tactics and a lack of variation in the way he sets up his team, we under Hodgson play with a freedom that would be as impossible under Potter as it was under Vieira, we are 2/3 players away from probably having the best team we have ever had, if it isn't broke dont f**k it up.

We have smart bright adaptable players like Eze and Olise. A lot of very talented younger players coming through. We abviously need some good young strikers, but there are some reachable like Akpom or Gyokeres?

Look at those who thought the way you do and tried to spend their way to success. Look at the net spend of Leeds this season and wonder what will happen to their accounts next one. Want to swap? If blitzer and Harris want to dig deep then ok. But they have shown no indication. So we have to play smart withe the resourceswe have. It leaves us under constant risk but our position is sustainable. I want what you want too, but not at any price.
