She did a number of good tunes.

Off the top of my head, I probably go for Nutbush City Limits, We don't Need Another Hero, Be Tender With Me Baby, It's Only Love and What You Get Is What You See.

River Deep Mountain High is a classic, but the production is a bit murky. I prefer listing to the Celine Dion version. It's cleaner. Celine probably has the best voice of any female pop singer.

You can't go wrong with a Tina Turner greatest hits collection. Not too many duffs.

Celine Dion is seriously ill too.

Yes apparently so.

A great shame. She is arguably the greatest female voice of popular music in a generation.

I respect your opinion Hrolf, but I just don't get Celine Dion. Her voice and style grates on me like chalk on a blackboard. Give me Ellie Goulding or Florence Welch any day. All very subjective I guess.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I'm probably the only one who liked her in Mad Max: beyond the Thunderdome. A real star anyway. RIP Tina.

Tina Turner - what a Woman - damn shame she has passed away - an amazing survivor and entertainer.

As a young man, I was fascinated by her performance in Tommy.

I'm straining myself to simply say... Each to their own.

So many female singers use ridiculous inflections these days.

I'm more a rock fan generally, but Celine's albums are vocal masterpieces. There have been a number of very good female pop singers over the years, but I'd pick the soothing sound of her voice over any of them.
