My favourite bit of nonsense from Savage on the BT commentary was: "The Fiorentina players are going to ground a bit easy." Meanwhile, back in the actual game, Biraghi gets clocked in the head by hail of missiles thrown by riff-raff Hammers fans, loses about a pint of blood, AND STAYS ON HIS FEET the whole time.

West Ham fans giving it large cos they have won the Johnstones paint trophy of European football!!!!!
Singing Moyes name when a few months ago he was useless and they wanted him to be sacked. Absolute hypocrites.

Unlikely given that Brighton won't be taking part in this competition.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Well done West Ham - even if it is through gritted teeth.
I will always support a British team in Europe - although Brighton will test that theory next season!
David Moyes is a good guy and as others have said, deserved a night like that.

Indeed ,commentator saying he was pleased for the west ham fans who back the team through thick and thin . LOL obviously never been to the London taxpayers stadium when they are getting beat .

Still well done Hammers , enjoy it for what its worth . One thing I did notice after all the compliants about it only being a 20,000 seater stadium and the lack of tickets was the number of empty seats around the ground . The attendance was officially given as 17,363 which kinda lets EUFA off the hook . I think we would all be well peeved off had that been us watching it on the telly

And we still need a striker

Have to say, even if unpopular, I was pleased for them last night. Fair play and well done.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

They did win a trophy in a European competition, albeit not one that rests high on the Totem Pole.

It rests at the bottom of the proverbial pole Willo however is still on there!

Any hatred I had for WHU has shrunk over the years, probably as we are now of similar stature and often get a result against them! BHA, Wall, Charlton, definitely Watford and generally speaking the ‘big 6’ clubs are far higher on my priorities for directing anger.

It’s almost a bit of a non trophy however not quite, they did the business on the night and have something to celebrate. A crap, taxpayer funded stadium, an embarrassing clutching to a hooligan reputation of yesteryear, average squad with a fanbase about as sincere as mr blobby however I do not begrudge them this win. I’d go bananas if it were Palace so can’t comment when they do so for their team. I also quite like Moyes so good for him.
