Some of my favs:-

Radiohead- The Bends and OK Computer
Love- Forever changes
The doors- The Doors
Madonna- Like a Prayer
The Charlatans- Tellin Stories

And my favourite of all time- The Flaming Lips- Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.

Of recent releases I reccomend Hal and the Magic Numbers albums if you like Beach Boy-esque summer pop.
