Anyway, my vote goes to Valerian Ishmael...what a waste of (lots of) money. Don't know why so many people keep listing Pitcher though. I remember him being mad but not bad. Got his nickname of 'Psycho' coz he wasn't afraid of taking out opposition players if they caused him grief.

I think that was the only goal he scored for us and yes it was against Bobby Charlton's PNE. It was a Tuesday evening and we won the game 1-0 in the old third division. The crowd that night was around 20,000, not unusual for Palace in those days.
