Brighton today announced that as many as 6 products from their club shop were being discounted for the January sale. "We are trying to get rid of the Leon Knight mugs as fast as possible, so we've knocked the price down to 99p, plus you get a free ticket to any home game" announced the chairman. Brighton's box office manager announced "Cant wait for people to role into the box office, should be expecting some fans any now".

McGhee prepared his squad today for the coming Leeds match on Saturday by showing them a video of the Wigan v Leeds match. Kerry Mayo stated later, "well, to be honest i was expecting to see the Cup game from Saturday, but the gaffer showed me the rugby match from last season. Still, any footage of Leeds is good for us to prepare".

Training didn't go so well today, as the players were still confused as to who to pass the ball to for them to score goals.
"It's not been easy for the players to comprehend that Leon has departed" stated McGhee "they keeping hoofing the ball to the box, and then expect a goal. Maybe I should start looking into signing a forward".

The board announced today that 2 Leon Knight mugs had been sold in the past few days, but no tickets were sold with them. "We've seen two tickets sold and parcelled to Swansea, so we are hoping that there are a few Brighton fans up there that we can entice down here to watch us. Actually, they must be season ticket holders with us, as they turned down free tickets. Good to see we have many fans all over Europe".

Rumours circulated round today that McGhee was ready to cough up the cash for young starlet Theo Walcott. Fans shook their heads in embarassment in the fact that McGhee again was attempting to sign an impossible signing, but McGhee is still optomistic. "it's now between Chelsea, Arsenal and ourselves, but we feel we might edge them, as we can fork out the money for a speed boat to travel from Southampton to here, this way he wont have to move".

History is made today. Brighton pulled off the shock of the football season so far, by clawing a 2-1 victory against the might Leeds United. "They may have rested players for their up an coming rugby replay, but I felt that we showed that we can compete with the big boys now". When asked if he still felt that Brighton might survive, McGhee replied "Survive? We are now competing for a playoff spot. I fel with a decent run of 18 wins, we can do it".

McGhee ordered his bruised and bashed up set of players to training today, so they can rehearse the way they played against Leeds for their game against Sheffield United next week. The players were not happy as they were shattered, but McGhee felt it was the right thing to do. "The more practice the better. I'm trying to persuade the players to come in at 8pm on Monday to practice in the dark. If we can play in the dark, god knows how we can play in the light. Am I a genius or what!"
