I was born in Fulham, my dad watched them for years and my mum worked washing the club shirts so ive got a couple of Johny Haynes autographs. We moved to Norbury in 1968 and i had no interest in football till i went to middle school in 1974 and it was either Palace or Chelea, i went to Palace and got hooked and have been going ever since. 1977 to 1981 were the best years for me as the players and the ground only appeared at weekends or so it seemed. Ive been to 69 grounds now watching Palace mostly got during the 80s. Only missed four away games from 1986-89 so i was fortunate enough to see Wright and Bright develop.

Both my parents grew up as Palace fans and have dragged me and my older brotehr into supporting them. The earliest game i can remeber was the 1990semi-final win over liverpool. Good times

Being born and bread in Australia I never was interested in English Football. Aussie rules and cricket was it. In 1986 my Grandfather took me to London for a holiday. I remember being on the 68 bus from Croydon and my Grandfather pointed to Selhurst and said that is where Crystal Palace play. And I'm like, Crystal who? 1987 after watching Coventry win the cup back in Australia I was hooked on football. But a team, who should I support? My mother was a Man U fan, my friends at school were Man U and Liverpool fans. But they were big name clubs that everyone liked. I picked up the Australian paper to look at the scores and tables, Crystal Palace. I remembered my grandfather pointing to the ground. A passion was born. Later I found out my grandfather was a Millwall fan. I never hold that against him as he was the one who helped me find Palace. I supported Palace in Australia for 8 years via the newspaper and BBC world service. I was there when we went up against Blackburn. I was there for the cup semi final, I saw the cup finals on T.V. I was there when we finished 3rd in the league. I was there when we went down. I just wasn't in England. I was usually in my bed at 3am Sunday morning listening to the world service. 1995 I left Australia on a one way ticket to London. My first game was Man City 2-1 at home. For 6 months I watched the Palace, cup semi finals and relegation was included in there. My last game was Huddersfield 1-1 at home. I went to every away game as well. No I live in the US, still support the Palace everyday. The internet makes my supporting a hell of a lot easier. This January my 9 year old son who is baseball mad and is American through and through went to Selhurst. We went to Norwich at home 3-1. He now wears my old Palace strip to school and the new one we bought. I'm Palace till I die.

My dad was a Leeds fan as a kid because of his cousins, but when he moved right next to the ground in 1986 he started following Palace on TV on Sunday mornings. He started really going in about 1990 when I was 3 or 4 and growing up with my Dad a Palace fan and living within a 30 second walk from Selhurst meant I've been Palace my whole life. First games that I can actually remember was Wolves at home in 93 in the cup and the last day of the Holmesdale as a standing stand in 94, then got my first season ticket in the new Holmesdale in 95/96 season and have been relentlessly putting myself through season after season of s***e ever since. I'd say my favourite moments as a Palace fan would be Sheffield Utd at Wembley taking us up and when Aki scored that equaliser against Arsenal last time we were in the top flight. Supporting Palace, gota hate it and love it.

My grandad followed Palace from pre-war days. Then when I was born, his 1st grandchild, he registered me into the Supporters Club when I was 2 days old. I really can say I am a life-long supporter.
I am ready, are you? Sheffield here we come. |

My Dads a Millwall fan, but the rest of that side of the family is Palace, and my Mums a West Ham fan. My Dad was trying to turn me towards Millwall, while my Mum was adamant I would support West Ham. In the mean time, my Aunt and two cousins who had season tickets were spreading the word of Palace. And after being intrigued by the red and blue striped kit that my cousin used to wear, I decided it had to be Palace. My aunt took me to my first game in the Premiership season of 1997/98 at home to Bolton in a 2-2 draw. Then the following season, my parents gave up, and bought me a Palace season ticket with my aunt. I was 8 when I got my first season ticket, and since then there's no looking back. It's like an addiction, I can't imagine a world without Palace! Edited by j_muller (02 Sep 2010 11.40am)

born in thornton heath , step dad and brother were arsenal , 2 sisters were chelsea , moved to pawsons rd 1972 and could hear the crowd from there , my mum had a coach firm and my brother in law was a driver , palace supporters booked a coach , and he took me with him to the away matches in the late 70's , not sure who we played but i can remember playing orient and having the windows bricked as we left , palace were my first and they will be my last , i think it must have been the noise that enticed me ( the selhurst roar ) , and i can honestly say that i have never regretted a single day supporting the palace , promotions and demotions , rain or shine , on even our darkest days of administration(s) i always believed there would still be a Palace , and believe it or not , they are what keeps me SANE , you work it out haha
