Cos I'm not a glory-hunter! I have taken so much stick from people for supporting Palace over the years, and most of it comes from Manure and Charl-not Pathetic fans, which explains my great dislike for both. Never had any hassle from Millwall or Brighton fans, so I don't dislike them as much.
I support Palace, cos when my dad emigrated here, he wanted a local team to support with and he chose Palace cos it was nearest.

I supported Palace since I was around 8, when I went to my first Palace game. Been one for 7 years now. Not an interesting story I know, but I can't remember back to when I was 8 - I'm 15 now. Been a season ticket since I was 10.

I live in Charlton, but I don't support their team. I get some stick for being the only Palace fan in Year 10, because many of the other students support Chelsea, Charlton, Arsenal and Man Utd. Only a handful support M***wall.

I started liking football at about 8 years old, my cousin tried to get me to support chelsea but my mum (a lifelong palace fan) wasn't having any of it. In my first game we lost, but i was hooked and its stayed that way ever since.

I was taken to my first Palace game by my uncle in 1977. Palace v Boro, Jimmy Cannon scored the winner, and I never looked back. At the time my Father was trying to get me to support West Ham but we lived in New Addington so I thought poke that.

Dragan,

Have only just logged back on to monitor progress of some of the posts, but in answer to your question I just wake up at 5.00am without any alarm call and it is a good time to catch up on holmesdale.net.
My insomnia is probably caused by the worry of a wife, four kids and being a Palace supporter. That's enough to keep anyone awake.

Me ol' man took me to my first game in 1979 - Palace v Villa - we won 2-0. Hooked ever since! One particular memory was of the first Brighton game I went to in the same season - P*t*r Ward scored an equaliser after the magnificent Jimmy Cannon had collided with Burridge, leaving W**d an open goal. C**t.
