On the Birmingham Rivals site, there is a thread titled 'the suntan kid's at it again', or something similar, where a few ignorant Brummies have taken SJ's comments about the bid from the Daily Sport Works XI for Hayden ('we don't need the cash - we're not a selling club' and 'it'll have to be a little bit higher' - I'm convinced the latter is sarcasm, not that they'd understand that) very personnally.

It amazes me that after nicking our manager, a potentially brilliant attacking midfielder and our second best striker (Doug was and is still Number 1), that these fools still think they were the injured party in the Brucegate scandal. If I wasn't banned from Rivals, I'd speak my mind.

I think the thing they can't get their heads around is that Jordan is still angry about Bruce breaking a 4 year contract five months into it, to go to competitor (and the emphasis is on the 'tit' in more than one way with them), give no reason for his decision other than 'things will come out', 'not everything in the garden was rosy', etc., try to nick our aforementioned second best striker for peanuts and then make joke bids for our captain.

I don't know what to blame, the education up there, the poverty which breeds such ignorance, their poor quality genes, the amount of pollution in the city or the fact that most of seem to be disease-riddled, junkie, gentleman-of-the-road low grades.

But I'd wish they'd shut up and start commenting on their high scoring strikers, the attractive pass-and-move style of Robbie Savage, their aforementioned disease-riddled, junkie, gentleman-of-the-road fans who think it's hard and clever to assault opposing players during derby matches or the antics of their wholesome chairman and his family-orientated business. Or just Karen Brady's bazookas.
