Not a fan of the music but he does seem to have a good business head and would raise the profile of the club. Seems like a good move give our current predicament.

We are getting reports in the media over here about PuFF Daddy wanting to buy Palace, according to the Sun He is thought to be worth $550 million, so apparrently he has the coin....We have heaps of wanna be w***sters here aswell! Walking around in baseball caps and baggy trousers, and listening to bad rap music (is there such a thing as good rap music????), Wish they could keep their crap rap stateside! ...just goes to show how much American culture and their Media encroaches on our modern lives EH!.....I think P Diddy has seen the light and does House now anyway?

Gonna have another go about asking Tomorrow Lads,I was very busy today and it was awkward for me to nip out,Ive been doing a bit of asking around and apparently he has an apartment around Columbus Circle,He,s been spotted a couple of times in McGees Pub on 55TH St which is just across from his HQ,one of the Waitresses at our place says she,s seen him in there, also Mikey a friend of mine who,s a concierge at The London Hotel says he sometimes has Dinner in there occasionally,so Ive asked him to give me any Info if he gets any..So Ive put my Camera in my pocket for tomorrow and am ready for action.Just wondering if we should activate Agent Lunt to do a Mata Hari.

Can you imagine his notes in the program. And the bit where it shows the Palace hierarchy would read like this.

Chairman: Sean Coombes
Vice Chairman: Little Caesar
First Team Manager: Paul Hart

What next, Big Daddy Kane to buy Brentford??

ODB at QPR??

Haha

Considering he died in 2004 I'd say it's unlikely. However I'd love to see it happen just to hear NW moaning about it in a post match interview. 'What am I supposed to do? Referee couldn't control a kids party, the linesman was nowhere near but still flagged offside and t' bloody chairman has been 6 feet under for over half a sodding decade...'

I've been reading and reserving judgement, and i think that theres enough out there to treat this as a genuine prospect, even if it's still quite unlikely it'll lead to anything. Lots of people are saying it would be terrible to have an american/rap star/multi-millionaire/non palace-fan and other things so I thought I'd just try and work out what the perfect buyer would be like, and how P-Diddy compares.

1- Money. Need enough to pay off debt, build a squad, invest in the future. Diddy has 360 mil.
2- Sound business mind. again he has one
3- interest in football. he's good freinds with Becks, and regularly watches LA Galaxy.
4- interest in Palace. reportedly chose us because he likes the name, so there may be issues here, though a few millions invested would probably keep him interested. the fact he wouldn't be around the club, or even the country, often means that it wouyld be run by proxy, which could be a bad thing, or a good thing, depending on who he gets in.

Feel free to add your own.

If (very big If it is) this does happen, then it'll be because he wants to make a business move, not because he loves the club like we do, but he'll surely want to take us to the premiership. like anyone, I want to follow a succesful club, established in the prem with a ground i'm proud of, but i don't want Palace to lose its ties with the community. For any chairman, striking the balance is difficult, so for someone who has little or know past knowledge of the club, the fans or the local area will have to work very hard to do this. It could be the thing that finally cements our place on the footballing map or it could be the first part of our own portsmouth style saga. who knows. either way, i'll be singing his name at the cardiff game, as it's not like anyone else is showing an interest.

Brenda has dissed the press...P Diddy has not even moved a motion in his underpants to approach Brenda on purchase.

YET THE PUBLICITY STUNT IS A WINNER IN MY BOOK.

Maybe it will raise awareness in US of A and get Marky Mark or Vanilla Ice in the running.

Yet we are allowed to dream as we have with filling our Chairmans cabinet with Trophies.

Ok who is next to be the potential bidder.....Lionel Blair

really can't believe I am reading a thread on p-diddy buying palace.

that said I would welcome the exposure, and his business ability too.

we're a pretty under-achieving london club, so with fairly limited cash we could push for promotion... and for anyone that lives stateside you'll agree that the profile of the prem is big here, and getting bigger with espn showing games, highlights, and scores in the scroll (as an examply beck's injury was a lead story).

with his massive recognition we would suddenly be known to non palace people here, which could lead to extra revenue from merchandise sales.

I'm not that excited about the mass media as they're all the same story. I would be interested to hear if the comments by his so called spokes person are true.

Of course it’s never going to happen but to add to your list for the fun

5. World Wide exposure and interest
6. Local support should result in a full ground every Saturday (if marketed correctly)
7. Some pizzazz (American styleeee) maybe pre game/half time entertainment attracting families to games
8. Sponsors would be queuing up to have their names on our shirts
9. Summer concerts at Selhurst (good for the local community)

It must be true tribal have confirmed

Hip-hop mogul P Diddy is interested in buying Crystal Palace, it has been confirmed.

Reports on Thursday indicated the 40-year-old New York-born hip-hop performer was looking to invest in the cash-strapped Championship club.

No further details are available on the proposed deal but a spokesperson for The Outside Organisation confirmed P Diddy's interest in the Championship club to Sky Sports News' chief news reporter Bryan Swanson.

Crystal Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has been unavailable for comment on whether the US rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, has been in direct contact with him over a bid.

The club went into administration on January 26.

According to his spokesperson, P Diddy "isn't available for interviews" on the matter.

10. It would p!ss the Clowns and the Botty Boys off hugely.

The crowd is outstanding, and especially with the penalty after 44 minutes it was clear when we came out after half-time the welcome would be pretty loud and not too friendly. Crystal Palace wanted to strike back, so that was all clear. This is a wonderful place to play football - Jurgen Klopp
