One of a Kind – Bruford (1979).
Four great jazz-rock musicians, three Britons, one American – Bill Bruford, drums; Dave Stewart (no, not that one), keyboards; Allan Holdsworth, guitar; Jeff Berlin, bass – at the peak of their considerable powers. Deeply unfashionable, monumentally talented, insanely great. Trust me on this one...

Quite funny looking back on this thread and my comments from 4 years ago! God I was an impressionable little oik back then.

I'd still say Definitely Maybe was up there as my favourite ever album, but don't know if that qualifies to be the greatest ever. Revolver surely has to be up there, though whether or not I think it's even the best Beatles' album changes every day. It's so subjective as well, obviously, but it's a generation think. But, in my opinion the best album ever of my lifetime is Definitely Maybe, with the Stone Roses' debut album right up there.

Oh and Noel Gallagher probably isn't a genius, well nothing compared to his younger brother anyway

Still happy with my choices. Would anyone else change their mind now?
