..I think the opposite.

I don't. Unless something happens fast, we'll be sleepwalking back to our comfort zone and the Geordies and Weed will pass us by. Cue another 8 or so seasons trying to get back.

Pardew OUT.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

I also noticed that. They were on their knees like at the end of just losing a cup final. It looked to me they were shocked at how they lost the game. It looked to me that they were showing that they have no idea how they are going to win playing the way they have been told to. The dressing room may well now have been lost.

They're actually doing very well then aren't they, considering Pardew has informed them not to allow the opposition to give up and provide them a brilliant freekick opportunity for one of their players who just loves them and Ohh yes ..Pardew gave Cabaye real special information on how to stand on the far post and look an utter idiot when the ball got anywhere near him and how to allow the ball to creep past him and into the goal, but the best for me today was how Pardew managed to get the information over to both Wickham and Benteke to really f*** up each others attempt at an open goal! that for me was easily his best bit of managing today, I love you Pardew.. I really do.

Nobody from the championship is up yet and nobody from the Premiership is down...last time I looked anyway, if newcastle do do it it just suggests how easy it will be for palace to bounce back next season then doesn't it if we do go down considering how bad Newcastle actually are, you do realise being relegated is not the end of the world...don't you?

No but Pardew did blow a lot of smoke up Cabaye's backside when he signed about how other players were not worth the same wages as him. Unfortunately he has done little to prove it.

He's also killed the spine of the side - like Jedi, as those f*** ups would have been much less likely with him in the side.

That was the performance of a side who is hoping rather than having any definitive plan of action.

Absolutely they should, but I doubt Phil Neville has been watching week in week out.

I agree with him as far as his analysis has gone, but his analysis hasn't gone far enough. He now has to answer the questions why these players did it last season and aren't now. That starts to bring it back towards something Pardew related.

Went out this evening and came home expecting to see SSN headline of Pardew sacked ( or left by mutual consent). His time is up, defeats to Burnley and Swansea just aren't good enough and that coupled with his lame excuses has left me cold. How are the board going to feel in the next month or so when they are going to try to push next seasons season tickets. Do they really think they'll get many takers?

Interesting to read Phil Nevilles comments on the players letting Pardew down, some of which I agree with. But if Pardew has lost the team then this is understandable.
I was happy when we signed Pardew, because he was an ex player and had given us the deciding goal in the Liverpool semi-final.
But the results and subsequent team spirit show that something is wrong, seriously wrong!
We are called fickle as supporters and sometimes we are, but we were promised better football and a better position in the table. Now we are in danger of falling into the bottom three, something none of us want. I don't see us getting out of the hole we are in if Pardew stays.
If the manager has lost the team and respect of the players they won't play their best, like any worker who feels unvalued by their boss.
If Pardew is no longer getting the best then either we sell players and replace them - unlikely.
Parish and the directors need to give some feedback?
I for one didn't want to believe that Pardew would get us here but clearly he has!
