I was just saying before anyone came out with the 'where are the muslims condemning this atrocity.

To be honest I haven't yet read this thread, nor really plan to. I suppose it's full of the same old same old from all sides...

Who am I meant to be deforming?

Edited by nickgusset (20 Dec 2016 8.47pm)

You and Kermy always resort to deforming my opinions when you run out of reason. It's OK, I know being wrong is sometimes painful for fragile minds.

no idea, the same as anyone else like the German police and even you. Seems like the release of the guy the police had arrested has ruined your xmas.

It's the families of the victims of yet another terrorist attack that have had their lives destroyed mate. If you had any sense you would hope that the police catch the right man ASAP.

The Jihadists are already here. The incidents in the UK none have been committed from overseas extremists if memory serves.

Opening the borders was a humanitarian gesture for the vast majority of genuine refugees. You've seen the Syrian videos. It was flee or die.

There is, of course, a seperate issue of who, criminal and terrorist wise, used that crisis as a cover and where are they now? But that does not make the refugees or aid agencies or governments complicit.

Let's answer your points, Michael:

1. So, you are appearing to say that because Jihadists are already here, it's ok to let loads more in. Why? Also, one of the 7/7 bombers was an extremist born overseas;
2. I have a problem with 'humanitarian gestures'. A gesture is an act that expresses intention but has little practical effect. You are allowing heart to rule head and ending up doing nothing meaningful, it doesn't solve people's problems by plucking them from the Med and dumping them in a camp in an old airfield near Munich. It just moves a problem and creates more problems. Imagine being contained in such a camp, where you are ignored by society at large (after a few virtue signallers applauded you at a station when you arrived there). You see pictures on TV of the s*** being bombed out of your home, you live around the casualties of the war, you are stigmatised by society and the press for everything that is wrong in society and you are lectured daily by people with faith. If you are weak, desperate or just plain angry, you may well be incentivised to take your anger out on society more than you would otherwise;
3. Mealy mouthed crap;

I genuinely think you haven't got an ideology. You are a simplistic person ruled by simplistic images from war zones and a simple creed which is 'West bad, rest entitled'.

Very strange that the guy they've released was not here legally.

Is deforming the right word? Playing fast and loose with the truth when it comes to you, but I'm on the wave of this 2016 zeitgeist where truth doesn't matter.

The truth? You sound like Agent Mulder.

What is this truth that you speak of?

He was there legally because he was allowed to enter Germany to claim asylum.

er, no. The Germans aren't judging someone before they have evidence they were involved. Not guilty until proven, the sane way as jusrice is supposed to be in the UK but of course there it's applied only to certain people, Two sets of rules etc.

Anyway, they've released the guy they had originally arrested and quite rightly so - no evidence of his dna in the truck. Those that committed the crome are still out there and there is no evidence right now that they were immigrants into Germany.

Currently there is no evidence really to suggest that its an act of Islamic Terrorism either. It seems likely, given the events at Bastille in France. IS have claimed responsibility, but in the same way they did for the California mass shooting (which was by someone who had no contact with IS) which is to say its not a devised IS plan, formulated by the group.

If he's a even a terrorist. Just because IS claim responsibility doesn't actually mean they were behind it. They've claimed responsibility before for things that they weren't involved in planning, recruiting or supplying logistics to. Islamist groups often claim an action ideologically.

Now I do think its more likely than not linked to Islamanutbarc**ts due to Bastille, but its unusual in that the driver ran off, and was armed, rather than 'going down taking as many with him as possible'
