Serious question now. I will be travelling back from the game alone for most of the journey (I live right in the heart of the support of Charlton, millwall and west ham) would it be best if I leave the palace shirt and scarf at home for this one. Or keep my coat well zipped up?

A female on Palace Talk asking if she should keep her coat zipped up...... this cannot end well.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

Probably not . No in all seriousness I will heed the advice given upthread. We got a lot of abuse hurled at us on the escalators and across the concourse at north Greenwich when I came home from the cup final , wasn't helped by the station being crammed with people coming from the boxing at the 02 . Jeans and a plain hoodie Saturday it is

Wont be many Charlton fans about Saturday they will be hiding. As BBF said when ever similar games like this have happened LB is always packed out with Palace. Croydonlad you are talking rubbish. Over the years like with any club we have had our victories off the pitch as well as on them.
Personally would not worry at all, All the Danny Dyer types following these clubs are about 18 yrs old and will run at the first sign of trouble.
Few of us starting off at the BB&B at 12.30

This dress seems pretty neutral. I don't have much opinion on it anyway.

I never wear colours to a game, as I tend to travel home on the same route most of our away fans use. Its a shame really, but I have had some hassle when travelling back to Reading from Selhurst Park.

I don't mind a bit of banter and a laugh, but some people, usually very drunk, seem to take football far too seriously.
