surely we want players that actually WANT to play for us? if hes taking this long to make his mind up then maybe we are in the wrong conversation?

whenever i've been in a similar position to that above, i haven't left the future employer/home owner etc waiting once i've been offered the position.

It doesn't work like that though, his bosses (owners) accepted th bid, then the negotiation starts. We have no idea if a) There are actually any sticking points & b) if there are, whether they are "reasonable" E.g. We might want to put a clause around injury, he might want a clause around relegation or if he gets selected for England. Since 2010 took over, they have continually played their cards close to their chest and if Wenger hadn't said anything there's every chance we would be dismissing this as gossip

JENKINSON UPDATE Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson has looked set for a move to Sam Allardyce's Crystal Palace for over a week now and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has clarified where the deal is at: "Jenkinson is a possibility to go to Palace but it is not finalised," said Wenger. "It is down to him to find an agreement with them."
