I think life-long fan is commendable for footballers in this day and age but exactly what we don't need at this point in time. It's January and we are in the relegation zone. Can we really afford this to be a news story in a month or two's time : "Jenkinson has to be dropped because he's low on morale since move from Arsenal". If he's going to come here and sulk about not being an Arsenal player, I hardly think he's going to drag us out of relegation. Ward for all his limitations will at least be sad if we go down. He may even be in our Championship squad next season.

The fact that he has only played 5 games this season, 2 of which are in the Champions League is not one of them. Arsenal are a good couple of levels above where we are

Met a guy at the weekend who's been doing some work for Joel and he told him he may not be in London much longer. Whether that's due to uncertainty with big Sam's plans or he's had an offer who knows.

According to today's Times the likelihood of Jenkinson signing is currently 90%., alongside that they have our chances of PVA at 80% and Defoe at 60%.
