I don't want to be a misery or jinx us but I haven't felt this pessimistic about the team's prospects since we've been in the Prem - Big Sam looks tired, no Jedi figures, fans heckling the players etc.
So at what point did things start to go sour? My personal opinion is when Pulis walked out two days before the start of the 14-15 season. Just when we seemed stable and the future bright to become a solid mid-table team, such a kick in the n*ts for team, fans and Parish. We might not like Pulis or his style but look at West Brom now.
Any thoughts on the moment it started to go wrong?

So it had started to go wrong despite our storming up the table in the second half of the season and finishing that season even higher than we did under Pulis?

This .

It has taken longer than expected to unravel.

Cup Final. It allowed people to ignore a terrible run of form and not address the issues of 19 games and 1 win. I said at the time I would have taken 6 more points rather than a cup final I was pretty alone in this thought, I wonder if that is still the case?

When the ball hit the back of the net from chungys worldy against stoke and Yala's leg went...

If you watch it back you can almost hear the bubble burst.

Not when we failed to find the right replacement?

You are correct. There have been mistakes ever since then.

Numerous repeated mistakes on the pitch every week, fortnight or 3 weeks.

Errors made ignoring certain areas on the pitch in that transfer window and the summer 2016 window.

Not sacking Pardew 3 days after the final once the hype had faded, his hangover had gone and ego had deflated from the size of Wembley to the size of Sutton Utd.

Not sacking Pardew after Swansea.

Not sacking Pardew after Hull.

Hiring Sam or anyone later than it should've been done.

Oh and chucking the 1st games of the season every year is never a great idea. West Brom at home? What about poor prep after the international break vs a West Ham that needed and wanted the win and us that just played with it expecting it to drop on our laps'. That is why they were the happiest group of players he ever worked with. They had it easy, and that ease made it easy for oppo to target us.

Those wins were and still are included in the Pardew club.

This is either coincidental or Parish has taken his eye off the ball with some things since they paid in. Them being joint owners has no direct impact on anything other than perhaps appointing Sam but things were going wrong before then.
