I do however have the concern, that I also had with Pulis, that they are both Premier League journeyman managers with no particular love for the club.

Who cares whether they have a love for the club or not as long as they get the job done and surely Palace is the football club equivalent of a journeyman anyway.

I won't disguise the fact that I rate him so highly.
In my opinion, he's the best boss we've had for many a long year.
The FA got all precious and sacked the man that was meant to manage his country.
West Ham thought they were too good for him but they were wrong.
And now here he is with us. Talk about lucky!
Should we get relegated it won't be on his shoulders. We'll have the last idiot incumbent to thank for that.

I love Allardyce. He's everything I want in a Palace manager...tough, uncompromising, the right side of northern dour and extremely professional.
I can even forgive him his friendship with Ferguson.
Are you in agreement with me that he's top notch or are you non plussed?
There's no judgement. Tell it how you see it.

You said all thus on thd 'anyone who doubted allardice' thread. Why start another thread?

In all seriousness though, why not celebrate the fact that we've got ourselves a really good manager?
Not hurting anyone, is it?

Give up mo, I could go in and spend 40 million and keep a team up who can put out a first 11 worth 120 million. He has done well to sort the defence out and keep a few clean sheets but we didn't even have a shot on target yesterday, without Zaha we would be such a poor team.

Sorry, I don't understand your banter. I've no issue with people who back Allardyce, we all have different opinions.

I'm just sick of reading Mo banging on about Allardyce on every thread. It's about annoying as Willo's unnecessary use of 'aposthrophies' and Nick Gussets political views.

The three clean sheets are nice but it's taken far too long. Him keeping us up this season is half the job he did in Sunderland last year we shouldn't be in trouble with this team. I think this is a good short term manager, but realistically with BFS there is always going to be a ceiling to our potential.

We play less expansive, 'worse', football under Big Sam thats for sure. Surely even with your Sam-tinted glasses on, you can admit that?

I'll share a story about Sam. A couple of years back my boy was doing an academy at Bolton and we got a little tour of the Reebok including the dressing rooms.
The home dressing room was lavish; a spacious modern room with inspirational messages emblazoned on the walls, large comfortable seats, areas to store clothing, mirrors, lovely private bathroom, the list goes on.
The home dressing room was small, dark very cramped, hard benches about 30 inches between each player, just a hanger for clothes, crummy bathroom and an ambulance stretcher placed strategically at the front door immediately as you come in.
They said it was all Big Sams design.
I like what he brings to this club...

im never going to like the guy but signing sakho & luca was a wise move and we are heading in the right direction.

3 wins & clean sheet was much needed as all were must win games.
