I think that one's been settled.

He's had an amazing start to his English career, no question about it, but my concerns were of the long run. I knew he also had the numbers in Italy (a lot of goals and assists in few minutes of playing time), but he seemed like a player who doesn't run. Maybe he was just upset and not in the mood in the times I saw him play in Italy. But usually, the players who don't put effort in 1 match, don't put effort in any match. If I was wrong about Gabbiadini, so be it. Nobody is perfect. Like I've told you, I'm usually right. We'll see how Gabbiadini does in the long term. I am still concerned with his overall game. Messi also has the numbers at Barca, but his overall contribution is lacking and you can see this in away matches. Is it worth it? For Messi, perhaps. For Gabbiadini? We'll see.

Also take into consideration that I said Gabbiadini was not good enough AT THE 17 MILLION they paid. For now, it seems that he was worth it. But please keep in mind I didn't say he's a bad player and if he had been bought for less than 5 million I would have considered it a good acquisition. So if I'm wrong about him, it's just because I wouldn't have spent that much money on an Italian player.

I'm only judging players at a certain value. Like someone said on the previous page, I'd prefer Mbemba over Sakho. Yes, I''d prefer 5 million Mbemba over 20-30 million Sakho. I feel that he can provide pretty much the same thing without throwing away the rest 15-25 million, so that that money s better used somewhere else. No doubt Sakho is a player with better contributions in the last year and this makes him a better player than Mbemba or Zambrano or Kabasele or Papadopoulous or others I've mentioned, but I'm not comparing them at the same price.

Why are you trying to turn the topic on to the value of Sakho. Other threads for that. This thread is clearly about Milo, who has clearly been a success?

Yes, perhaps. He's really poor defending. He leaves his flank to walk in the center> flank exposed> Juve goes up, takes players who come to intercept out of position> change direction on the right> bam, goal for Juventus.

Sure, it was the defense's fault....................
but nobody wants to say truthfully who doesn't do his job in the team

We are all entitled to our opinion and mine is that Luka is and will become a magnificent signing. Exactly the kind of player Pardew clearly failed to see we needed at the start of the season.

His job is scoring goals and he's one of thd best players in the world at doing it. And you're criticising him for his defending?

Back to Luka............

I actually think he has been the main reason for our change in form although love Sakho as well. Clearly it also needed a hugely experienced BFS to realise we might need someone with a left foot to play LB.

With regard to Luka, he looks a class act in the DM role which NO-ONE has done successfully this season.

Football is all about opinion but bl00dy Hell, the OP looks like he needs a top-up to his medication.

Sakho has sorted the defence. Luka has sorted the midfield. That's all anyone needs to know.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I flicked through our home results for this season and last , didn't realise how appalling we had been at home for such a long time. maybe the opening poster thinks that it a coincidence that we have now won 3 hone games in a row with clean sheets with a new defence in place. he is probably still a Pardew fan and thinks that we would of achieved that anyway
