Abdication of responsibility from European politicians to have not shut down Schengen by now. Quelle surprise.

Nicely done.

There is no equivalency.

I know that, and yet we do seem to be involved in bombing and wars with a lot of Muslim countries - including IS in Syria.

Its kind of an inevitable consequence of bomb Iraq and supporting, rightly, more moderate factions, that those extremist would strike back by whatever means they can.

Of course we're in the right, IS is an affront to humanity, but they're not going to go quietly either.

Yup. Serves those Swedish right, hmm? They were asking for it, with all their interference in "Muslim countries". Belgium too - Brussels getting bombed and shot up is an "inevitable consequence".

Are you dizzy yet from all the spinning?

I'm not sure what your point is. Of course they weren't asking for it, but the reality is that when you go to war, the enemy is prone to strike back and we do have to live with that reality. What did you think would happen when we started to target IS a known terror group, that they wouldn't fight back, that their followers wouldn't commit pointless acts of atrocity

There isn't really I don't think much else we can do other than stay in that war now, because it has to be fought. Of course it angers me, but that's the price of doing the right thing.

I just refuse to blame those who are not responsible.

The enemy?

But these people are European citizens who happen to be Muslims right?

I think the greater significance is that they're radicalised by Islamic fundamentalism (specifically Al-Qaeda and Islamic State) - a very specific form of Islam.

We notably had no problem either prior to 2001 with Muslims in the UK.

While it has got worse, you clearly never had to walk past Finsbury Park mosque on a regular basis in the mid-late 1990s. I worked in the area, and it got so bad at Finsbury Park mosque I had to avoid that entire street where I could (I am talking about people at the mosque dealing out racist abuse, threats, and even physical attacks).

There was less that half the 3 million plus then of course.
If people who are supposedly British are tuned so easily against us, it just highlights the folly of multi culturalism for me.
