Apart from banning facial coverings there is nothing in there I'd disagree with. Much of it is overtly needed to protect secularism in schools and in equality of legal jurisdiction.

What is so objectionable?

To me the fact that it identifies one strand of society is wrong. Much of what they object to regarding Muslims can and should be applied across multiple faiths / people.

Checking young girls genitalia every time they return from overseas?

They imply honour killings have been largely ignored, which isn't true. Again this helps to stir up interracial resentment.

There are problems, of course there are but trying to implement racially motivated policies will not help.

Because you suspect that UKIPs policy is political opportunism does not make it wrong. Virtually all policy is politically driven.

I do agree that other religions should come under the same scrutiny if they work against the greater societal good. I have always had a problem with single religion schools.

Cultural elements yes, but religious dogma that belongs in the middle ages, no.

Quite agree with that.

I see what you mean.

I disagree and think it's a bit alarmist and the alternative is to ignore looming problems but I at least understand your point.

Personally I think we need to work with Islamic reformers in the country....reformers are largely ignored and under abuse from most of mainstream Islam in Britain and everywhere...but regardless we need to provide no other option for Islam in this country.

Islam is not a race of course.

So many times you've denounced being a "leftie" and yet here you are admitting it.

Well I never.

Should we check all children who are at risk from Priests for signs of child abuse? Of course they're not suggesting that, because it would lose them votes.

Made up bullsh1t, Daniel or as Willo would say 'tosh'.

Been centre-left, and said that on here many times, since I was old enough and wise enough to realise The Tories were a bunch of fake self-aggrandising con artists. Bullsh1tters too then.

Patriotic? Them? My arse. Haven't you realised yet?

It is not really a fair comparison though is it?

Child abuse is abuse by individuals, albeit often within an organisation but FGM is a traditional practice which could be easily checked.
I don't say it is ideal to inspect children but it's better than the alternative.
This is a situation where anyone who suggests it is branded 'racist' and yet it is a practical solution which would already be happening if politicians were more interested in the welfare of young girls than appearances.

If you were that old and wise you would know that it describes virtually all politicians. In the end you have to decide who is more competent to run a country.

Well, seeing as they have been in power for 70% of the time since i was a teenage lad I can only go on that. And they are certainly not competent to run a country. Unless it is into the ground. They have been rather successful at that since 1979 tbf.

Where has anyone suggested it's racist. I note the fgm issue seems to be aimed at Muslims. It's also practised by Christians and Jews. Not a religious practice but a cultural one.
