Fair play for the word of the day though.

Before you go, how do you answer the charge that it is irrefutable that this Tory lot have created more debt since 2010 than all labour governments combined?

The claim by Corbyn was:
By 2020 the government will have borrowed more than all Labour governments put together.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Total and utter hogwash on both scores.
Archetypal left-wing bilge.

I have lost count of the number of times I have got into protracted and fiesty political debate over the years much to the disgust of my dear wife who has seen me in a 'Hissy Fit' as I have defended my dear Conservatives to the hilt.I am certainly NOT a milquetoast who shies away from arguing my case.

In the interests of HOL, I decide NOT to get into any political debate because as sure as night follows day it will desintegrate into a debate about "Yours Truly" rather than the matter under discussion. My wife agrees that this is best NOT only for me but for HOL.Brimstone and gladitorial hostility would take the place of mature and reasoned debate.
My goodness I could really go "To town" about the shambolic Corbyn and his left-wing comrades and all the 'Placards and protestors' brigade. What a pathetic opposition !

In actual fact I'm NOT even going to bother to browse this 'Thread' any more so all the barbs against me and the Conservatives will remain unseen.

Thank you for sparing us

You have been told. You must be totally thick.

We stopped borrowing and started paying the interest on the debt that your party created.

Same old Labour, Borrow, borrow, borrow and then blame the Tories.

Tory lead cut by 7 points since election was called. Clearly this 'strong and stable' bullsh*t isn't as effective as everyone's saying it is.

Labour will get one big hammering and also the poison dwarf in Scotland is going to get a shock too: [Link]

I'd say he's pretty resilient, having survived a constant attempt to displace him by his own parliamentary party almost since he was elected. I mean he's won the selection twice, survived sprees of resignations from his own shadow cabinet and a vote of no confidence - and still sticks to a strong left wing principle, despite the best efforts of the parliamentary labour party.

It might be a one man suicide charge of the Labour party but I don't think the man is in any way weak.

Cameron, lost a referendum and s**t the tory bed

The reason he won two leadership elections was because a lot of people paid £25 to join the unelectable Labour party just to keep him at the top knowing he would never win a general election. I think it was a good £25 spent I really do.

At least he has the guts to stick to his principles even if they are not the same as others. Some truth in politics at last. Give the man a medal!

As mentioned before (yet some still choose to blame Brown/Labour), Brown was politely asked to sell the gold. The effect of dumping this much gold on the market forced the price down thus, surprise surprise, aiding a large (American) bank to 'straighten-out' it's books by buying at a far cheaper price than before.
In effect it was another bail-out for the parasitical financial system............again paid for by us.
Whoever had been in power at the time would also have been ''politely asked'' and would also have had no option but to sell.

Cunds.

It was Gordon Browns decision to sell the gold and in his own words: [Link]
