.
All the media's fault of course.....

It is the media's fault for a lack of evenness yes.

Your name calling is problematical.....You are kind of just being 'Trump-like' yet complaining about him.

Now when it comes to policies I probably agree with most of what you said there.

Because you seem to believe reporting on politicians should be 50/50 - the good and the bad - which is fine if they are competent overall but what if the person they are having to report on over the year has had more negative aspects to their leadership than positive so far? The reporting will obviously and correctly be scrutinising the decision-making.

May is rounded upon regularly as well as Trump. Because they have both found themselves in positions which overreach their abilities perhaps?

I don't know about fifty fifty but an even handed fairness without emotional bias yes. Trump isn't murdering his own people here...He's not Assad....Those who think China's leadership is better than Trump's....and polls show that it is a few who think that....they are complete loons.....But they listen to the mood music...see the Paris accord.... and get caught up in the emotional nonsense.

I'd definitely agree with you that Trump's in over his head....Trump delegates a lot of his presidency....I think we all know that. He's very broad stroke.

Trump has brought a helluvalot of the negativity surrounding his Presidency on himself imo so I don't see bias just reporting on ineptitude. As for the stock market surely that would get reported on from the usual media outlets anyway in line with any positve fiscal stimuli from The White House? Not giving it a headline trump/et fanfare if the spike is not all down to his tenure is not bias and would be misinformation if a TV station did so.

I disagree with this.

I watch Newsnight....I see the hostility. I see the reporting on the BBC website. It's open hostility.

Actual analysis of the policies would be good......Most of what you get is like Maple's focus upon efforts to get him out with the language not being partial at all.

I haven't seen you complain about lack of press evenness about Corbyn.

I've complained about some of his treatment yes...the personal stuff is nonsense, so actually Nick you are wrong.

I've attacked you far more because you don't have a leg to stand on about this kind of thing.

I'm not saying that Trump shouldn't be attacked for things....It's legitimate to scrutinize.....No I'm complaining about the same treatment dished out to Trump that the tea party dished out to Obama.

Oh...and if I were going to be 'Nick-like' I'd complain that this is a thread about Trump and not Corbyn.

But I'm not you....and you can bring up anything you like, without me moaning about it.

Well he ended the CIA operation to arm anti-assad rebels last week, a move welcomed by Moscow - funny that - so he's certainly helping Assad murder his. [Link]

Obama certainly made mistakes with Syria too, but a move like this at a time like this, poses very worrying questions, endangers innocent lives and also US influence in the area.

Yes it is worrying if accurately reported.....mind you if it's 'covert'? These rebels are already armed by Turkey and other anti Syrian elements.

Regardless it isn't murdering people. That's wrap-a-round logic. Putin and Syrian forces are doing that.

Considering there still haven't been any firm links between Trump and Russia I'm not sure you can moan at the FBI about parity six months ago....whereas the actions of Clinton in respect to those emails was well known.

Clinton won the popular vote and it was a very close run thing...though not in the electoral college. I think attempts to subvert democracy without proper evidence would tip the balance in America to real violence.....I await proper evidence that Trump broke the law in any serious way......There was a lot of sh1t thrown at Trump during the campaign but I notice no anger directed at Clinton.....I think It's soreness that the guy they didn't like won and a tacid acceptance of 'by any means possible'....The mood music bothers me. ....If Clinton had won would you want investigations into the Clinton foundation over its middle eastern backing? I bet you would be angry with the tea party for senseless attacks on her....I think a charge of a lack of rational evenness is a fair one.

The US stock market is doing well because they believe Trump will cut regulation and they are confident that this will improve profits....They are probably correct about that.

........along with holding interest rates at historically low levels, the Fed has also been pumping 'the market' full of virtually free money (printed from thin-air) for the past 8yrs. Somewhere in the region of $3.5 TRILLION!
This has nothing to do with Trump (or Obama for that matter).

I don't agree....the market has made 4 trillion in six months since Obama. This is in a different league to Obama's affect.

The problem is, he has yet to actually push through any major legislation. A cack handed attempt to repeal/replace Obamacare which was (probably correctly, given how many people it would have screwed over) blocked, plus his stupid heavy handed travel ban, also blocked. Plenty of empty rhetoric, lots of foolish tweets, very little actually achieved.

And the strong stench of corruption hangs all over his presidency. His failure to cleanly cut ties with his business interests. The links to Russia. Completely failing at discretion over national security. Incompetent advisors. All (so far) minor but very worrying. Taken together, looks extremely bad.

Trump COULD have been a breath of fresh air, but has made himself an easy target for media, on the right and left. Seriously, someone needs to take the muppets phone away.

This is no 'liberal media' trying to hound him from office. This is the media in general reporting on the many foolish things he and his administration/family are doing. Even Fox is finding it hard to slant positively some of the stuff.
