The harder it is for a gang to function, the more its forced into the 'shadows' and the less influence it has over the society around it - and in time the society in which the gangs exist, experience the benefits of being outside of gangs. During this, using intelligence led operations you target key gang members (those who have status, income and popularity). Doesn't really matter what you arrest them for, you just keep on them. Starving out the income, the status and popularity.

You will not find any details of the 650 arrests in the media or on the internet as they have been surpressed. The government feared a backlash from Grenfell which is in the locality to add to the usual NHC perceived disorder. Like the nazis the police can just pick up anybody off the street on the premise not that they have committed any crime, but that they 'think' that they may do. The govt. are able to pass this off as necessary because white people associate NHC with black criminality. The UK is a police state, the police are insitutionally racist and society is as well. Would it ever happen to white people - yes in extreme cases like the miners' strike. It is unlikely for example that PC Plod will turn up on your doorstep with an arrest warrant because you are going to Selhurst Park on Saturday where you might cause trouble but then you are white. However if they get away with these things who knows how far they will go.

Its a massive reach of epic proportions to call the UK a police state though, and an insult to people who have the misfortune of living under a police state. Comparing them to the Nazis is disgusting.

I wonder if gangs actually agree to meet up at Carnival to settle scores? It's time carnival was held n a area that can be safely secured and the public should pay to attend. I expect that all Met police leave is cancelled this weekend. Not a fan, make it safe and make the carnival goers pay instead of the taxpayer.
