I don't think he will get too much verbal grief - what he will get at every game is the Iceland Hand Clap - everyone can do it and for all the opposition supporters it will be amusing without being rude.

Am I concerned over nothing or is the stick not going to help our current predicament.

You are concerned with nothing.

Only morons will give him stick and intelligent people ignore morons

I take it you do know that Donald trump won the American general election!!!

Well one can imagine the moronic and puerile chants of "You never shop at Iceland" and all that hogwash.

But Roy is no milquetoast and not a type of chap who enters a swimming pool only after dipping his ankles to feel the temperature. He won't be fazed by moronic vitriol.

I hope it's only the media bulls***ting but to read that Roy is going to try and get Wiltshire in the January window is not good. I know he is a good player but he's another fragile flower who spends more time in the treatment room than the pitch.

I don't think other teams' fans will bother with him - he may not be that likeable to some, but he's not hated. As someone else said, there's been plenty of England managers who haven't managed to get it right...

..i'm more worried about the reception he'll get on Saturday. We all need a lift, and the players will be aware if he gets booed.

He's a Palace fan, from the area, we have to get behind him.

If he had gone to Brighton or any other team I don't think we'd be giving him a hard time.

He's a likeable bloke who is wished well by all his former teams.

And fans don't really hate managers other than those who have jumped ship or are nobs who have strangled your players.

I would have booed Dougie when he was at Bolton but I can't think of anyone else - even Pulis is even in my book for keeping us up.

I even think Chris Hughton is an alright bloke - so yeah I think you are worrying over nothing.

Every manager gets grief from the other 19 clubs. Your own fans only give you grief if you lose.
If FDB won the first 4 games then we would have defended him every step of the way...
Beat Southampton and pick up some bonus points from City, Utd and Arsenal and the stick will stop pretty quickly...

What would be the reason for booing Roy ? This would be disgraceful and something he doesn't deserve.Cannot see any reason or justification in this.

He is a local chap, who stood on the Holmesdale terrace and has taken up the daunting challenge of saving us from relegation. He is a thoroughly decent individual who cuts a figure of dignified propiety and is man of unimpeachable integrity.
