That website is just another front for the American health industry.

The sexual health of people in this country which has lower stds than in your country is simple evidence for that.

Essentially you support a practice that is unnecessary in the first world and leads to the deaths of babies every year in yours and other countries.

In my view you should stop supporting it.

Once again attacking the messenger (Web MD) and not the message. Here's the world renowned Mayo Clinic saying the same thing as Web MD: [Link]

The American Academy of Pediatrics says that the benefits outweigh the risks: [Link]

These are American organizations complicit in this practice.

Stop linking me to American justifications for this money making nonsense barbarism. These are decisions that an adult should make for themselves.

The evidence in the west for countries where this stupidity isn't practiced is all you need to show you the error here.

Don't want to butt into a good argumemnt but all the benefits are really really low, unless you have some form of Haemophilia, which meant it has a higher risk.

It is all about the money it would seem.

TBH, if you don't have a foreskin, you ain't a complete man.

Sorry SS beat me [fnaoorrh) on the financial aspect.

You are extrapolating the wrong opinion from the studies you cite. Just because the US has a higher rate of certain STDs (while Iceland is off the charts for chlamydia, for some reason), you make the leap of logic (to support your argument) that circumcision is bulls*** because ... look! STDs.

What you are not considering, because it doesn't support your agenda, is that STDs in the US may be higher than Europe for any number of reasons, and that it could be even higher but for the common practice of circumcision.

What you fail to recognise is that the US has any number of factors that contribute to the high rate of STDs, including: lack of medically sound sex education (eschewed in favour of "abstinence only education in many states) and a lack of access to reproductive healthcare, particularly family planning.

If you're a post-pubescent adolescent, and your school tells you that the only safe practice is abstinence because a condom doesn't stop pregnancy or STDs (this is a real thing), then those teens will have sex - because they're going to anyway - without protection. Bingo, the rise of abstinence only education correlates to an increase in unwanted teen pregnancies and STDs.

But go ahead and use this as evidence to support the thing that you don't like because you want to take the option away from everyone else.

The "financial aspect" is just Sterling, once again, attacking the messenger because he doesn't like the message. An entire association of qualified doctors agrees that there are medical benefits that outweigh the risks. He - and you - say that "well, they're making money."

So, if a doctor in America tells a patient that. in his medical opinion, they have cancer, he's just trying to fleece them for a few bucks?

I'm tired of debating this with you.

Continue on with your nonsense support of barbarism on infants. I'll see it for what it is.

Let me have your address. That way when the next pregnancy from rape happens - it won't be long, there's about 25,000 a year - I can be sure to drop the baby off on the correct doorstep. That way you can celebrate its life by raising it.

You're not debating me, your debating the opinions of medical associations that I presented to you. You can continue to disagree, that's your prerogative. I, and the medical profession, can live with that.

The courts are far too soft on people who commit sexual crimes, be they women or men, but I do believe that had the offender been a man and the person assaulted had been a woman he would have gone to jail.

You should look at the rape and sexual assault conviction rate compared to the reports of rape and sexual assault to the police.

About 1 in 14 reported rapes end in a conviction.
