Apologies if there is a thread on this already but does anyone know when he will be ready to play again? It must be nearly a year since he got injured.

Do we need a big typical centre forward any more? What about a nippy quick striker in the Andy Johnson mould together with Wilf & Andros?

Roy knows the premier is ALL about pace.
Bring in a fast nippy attacker stick him up there with Zaha and Townsend and all hell will break loose.
Big hefty target man don't seem to work anymore in the premier. Look at Man City yesterday.
In the meantime Im a fan of the role Shluppie played. Maybe even get him more up the pitch.

Wickham when fit has been very good for us. Problem seems to be with him staying fit really. Pace isn't the everything, for a club our size, especially when you have two very fast skillfull wingers.

He holds up play, wins headers and lay's off well when fit.

Sell him now

Once a sick note always a sick note

If we get offered £2 million we will be lucky but cut our losses & run like hell something CW has not done for CPFC!

Still think there is a top player there if we can get him 100% fit again

I think so too, before he was injured, he was starting to look quality. I hope he can get fit and put in a run of games.

I wouldn't sell him. If Papa can make it back, so can Conner...

Imagine if he comes back in January and scores 7 goals, that could prove priceless for us and the current striker market is a minefield. Just as well get him fit and see what we have than to bring in someone to replace him...

Although, even if he's fit. We need another striker.

Agreed, but it's always useful to have that big target man option on the bench.

Injuries eventually take a toll on a player and the most recent was very serious.

Must be a lot of doubt if he will ever be the same player again.
