On many occasions this season. From burning Brighton flags, abusing chairman on twitter. Wishing death on Hennessey and hoping he’s still injured. Throwing soaure shirt back at him after his recovery. Singing Speroni name when Hennessey in goal yesterday. It become a far to regular occurrence. I feel it getting worse game by game.

Anyone else feeling this

Not just on social media, but after 20 minutes against Huddersfield.
You pays your money, you can do what you want.
Even leave a game early without being abused by your own fans.

Everything is 5hlt

I use to post on this forum regularly but as a fan base we doing ourselves no favours. I agree it’s a frustrating time but at the end of the day. There’s more to life that losing a match on a Saturday. Saturday a massive game in any chance of survival. We need the fans all pulling as one if possible. Coyp

Been saying it since last season...when we get behind the team like Chelski it lifts their performance..but too many fans expect the team to give us something to cheer for....the team are lost and need us to give them direction and the foundation to improve from...but seeing what most of our current fanbase are like we're too selfish to do so

Sadly this reads like a metaphor for how the world has become. I’m going to call it “The age of expectation and aggrievement”. Turn on the average (so-called) news programme, and after a few headlines about Trump, Brexit, some people being blown up, we then get in to a string of “aggrievement” stories - “not fair”, “not enough money spent on me/us/my cause”, “I/we deserve better” etc etc.

I was brought up to expect nothing from anyone that I didn’t work for; to deserve nothing that I didn’t earn; and to be grateful for what I received.

Can be very hard to banish the toxicity once it sets in amongst fans. Hopefully a good few more points before Jan and a positive Jan window will turn everyone around.

I'm actually embarrassed by some of the reactions on here and thought I was the only one. Glad to see others feel the same. I'm as frustrated with Palace as I've ever been, but I haven't lost all sense of perspective like others appear to have.

At matches does anyone really believe abusing players will actually make them play better? Moans and groans you can live with, but abuse?

Only came back on after Chelsea from a short exile. The positivity from that has already gone, so it's back into exile I think.

Society is now bursting at the seams with opinions and people who simply see value in complaining.

You see it everywhere, from the commuter angry that their train has been delayed as someone was desperate enough to thrown themselves under it to idiots who try to sue restaurants as the coffee is hot. We live in a blame and claim culture, one fuelled by the righteous indignation of social media.

It's just the way it is these days

I suppose some of the reaction is to be expected when we are rock-bottom on 3 pts after 9 league games and have only won 2 of our last 14 league games.

I'm not condoning personal abuse directed at players but we are in the mire so I can understand the sheer frustrations of supporters who make their feelings known in different ways.

Any my goodness it could get a whole lot worse.

In view of the fact the lowest paid Palace player that started the game was probably on £500,000 pa and others were on five times that a very generous charitable gesture might be in order from the players
