I truly have never reported, anyone for a heart given post like Horlf's racism even though some no longer admit the posts.

The true [applauded] honesty allows actual debate rather than this constant toing and throwing with people worried about a yellow card.

When I say the above I not talking about trolling by Matt and SS, but true debate about race.

After all, these traits show in many cultures, e.g. Japan, India, and dare I say Burma.

The saddest fact about the right at least on here is that it seems none actually have Cojones to get up, stand up.

Christopher was much more charismatic and....well right on religion. Still, his brother has a good brain, and like his brother, can cut through a lot of the meaningless warm worded rot that takes the place of politics today.

Too socially conservative for me and of course he's religious....But he believes in the usefulness of British culture....well diminishing parts of it at least.....So I think he has good intentions.

Civil war in the UK, sounds difficult, given that less than 1% of the UK has access to firearms outside of the Military.

I guess it could be all 'hand to hand' fighting and stabbing, but would anyone notice until Sunday if it all kicked off an a Friday.

That would change very quickly if it kicked off and there was money to be made. And there would be a lot.

The next phase of the EU falling apart won't happen for about 4 or 5 years now, when the next round of meaningful general elections take place (Holland, France, Germany etc etc). By that time the world will have entered, and may still be in, recession, but this time the Eurosceptics will be the main opposition parties in these countries. As we know, it's far easier being in opposition whoever you are, and the electorate will look for a change that will promise a cure for the(then) recessionary ills.

By then, too, the UK will be out (possibly), and so from wherever it is in the pecking order globally will be able to look on as Eurozone Crisis Part 2 takes grip.

Should be interesting.

The only 'Civil War' I am likely to see is an enactment of a battle in the English Civil War by the 'Sealed Knot'
And don't ask if I am a 'Cavalier' or 'Roundhead' !

Whether or not different groups muster enough support for significant violence comes down to the same factors it always has in history.

We already have political violence here in the name of Islamism where the state combat them and other groups by spending considerable resources.

But civil war requires an economic breakdown with a loss of central authority and regular attacks by one community upon another.

The middle class are far too comfortable to become radical.....Still, if their comfortable little worlds fall around them.

...but clearly as I said...as to how big a 'turmoil' it will ultimately be will be down to the planning in advance...

Usually a civil war really flares where the military are ordered to act against the citizens of a country, and portions of it rebel. That tends to be what kicks protests and revolutions into a civil conflict. Usually civil wars that don't have a schism in the military are brief affairs unless there has been some kind of long term 'insurrection' in place.
