Quite agree with Nick, integration is a two way affair. I have found it makes for a more interesting life, to mix with people of all shapes, colours, persuasions and beliefs.

I hated hipsters before it was cool to hate hipsters

The article itself was quite poor, it took some flimsy information and quite clumsily tried to make an article on it. It did kinda raise some points that were interesting.

Integration is always difficult, its almost unheard of for integration to work strait away at any point in history. Our boat is no different in that respect. It took 20 years for us to accept the Irish, and they barely count as a foreign culture! You could make the argument that we still haven't accepted Carrabian cultures 50 years later! What chance do poor muslims or Eastern Europeans have? Is it their fault we are like that? Probably not, so by extension maybe its us that need to adapt to them to a certain extent.

The fact that there were people that genuinly believed (Not suggesting its a majority at all) that the referendum was a vote to get rid of foreigners tells me that integration is never going to be easy, it will take a hell of a long time, we still have a bit of an islander mentality and I cant see that going anytime soon...

Is that a euphemism?

Some times, my sexuality makes me look positively backwards in terms of ethnicity.

Funny how others that post a link as a thread starter don't get your ire.

Make your point and provide a link by all means, don't just post a link to yet another website that no one but you has heard of, let alone uses as a source of news. And If, as I suspect, it is the same media company as the UK TV channel of the same name, it's utter nonsense.
