We fans see the results on the pitch. In spite of job titles, none of us really know how far people's responsibilities go at the club, or what their interaction may/may not be with other employees. Losing to Crewe at Selhurst on a wet Wednesday evening gives me as much fondness as winning our 2 most recent play-off finals. Palace fans are suckers for punishment No matter how high we climb, . . we can still fck it up.

My son was telling me that he's worked with a Villa fan for about 5 years now and he honestly thought he was just a casual fan until about 18 months ago. Now he comes in every week talking up Villa and Jedi buzzing about their form and performances. It seems the premier league just drained all the joy of football out of him. Finally going down was a relief and he began to enjoy his football again. The prem isn't the be all and end all of football. Just putting it out there.

You know I agree what you just said. We do ok in gates and results tend to go our way. The only places I am unhappy is being ignored by the world; and constant flirting with financial collapse. Seriously, I have enough dealing with debt in my real life without having to fight the fight again vicariously through my team. And do people really sit happily with the fact that our best players get casually picked off by "bigger" clubs... ...oh and another thing: we go down, Brighton stay up...
