Most on here will never appreciate the hardships of supporting Palace as an expat on the other side of the globe. It’s not easy in many ways.

Yes, having to get up early to watch games on TV must be hell.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

... , apart from in the Coventry the season we went up. When Brian Dean scores for West Ham at Wigan there was loads of us celebrating in the home end.

i wasn't able to get tickets in the away end or in the stand adjacent to the away supporters (where most Palace were) so a Coventry mate of a mate got us tickets in the stand opposite. I was completely unaware how many Palace there were in this stand until Dean scored. There were loads of us and thankfully no trouble.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

No problem with tourists generally, but not sure how they get Cat A game tickets.

Easy to spot as they usually wear the stupid half-and-half scarves. Bit of a giveaway.

Or travelling 24 hours door-to-door to see a Palace match on the other side of the planet.

Seriously "Bexley Dave" what's the furthest you've travelled to see Palace, and don't give me Carlisle away. There are loads on here that have travelled the globe to see Palace and many doing long haul, so don't give it a load of old tosh about turning on the TV. Long haul for you is walking daan to the Maharaja fool.

Mine's a light and bitter.

At least you're allowed to watch the ruddy games! If you're in the UK and Sky and BT aren't showing it then you're reduced to faffing around with broken technology designed to let us pretend to be you. How bonkers is that?

I can fully understand with contraints about tourists, particularly if they are in Selhurst just for a big game and (even worse) support the away team.

As mentioned before, however, some tourists turn into fans. I am Swiss, but lived in the UK 10 years ago and a mate took me to Selhurst against QPR. I was a tourist. And since I've came back here to the UK in autumn 2017, I've been to every home game (I would love to do away games but I have not enough loyalty points for that).

No doubt that I am a Palace fan now and after my return to Switzerland, I will always align my london trips with Palace's home fixtures, be it in PL or Championship.

And keep in mind that compared to the grounds of the big teams, the number of tourists at Palace is extremely small.

Not so great at 4am or 11pm on a Sunday night in Asia

The Americas are a great, weekend football breakfast to lunch

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I didn't know Annie Lennox was a fan.
