They have been emboldened by the hyperbolic reactions of politicians and corporations....who live in fear of bad press. Finger pointing activists have been given power far far beyond any public remit.

Further, even if IQ tests were culturally neutral, which I don't believe, they only measure a sub-element of intellect.

If I wanted to call you a racist....not something I do easily....I would call you a racist. I found your comments about Jews to be rather dim for the reasons I pointed out and I've certainly heard similar views from those with anti semitic views. However, I simply don't know you to call you anti semitic and I'd rather see your comments for what they appear to be.....full of holes and a bit dim. The data on group IQs has been published and is not contested. Your comment about master races is again.....a bit dim. Group averages on IQ take no account for individuals so are no commentary on individuals who may score highly on IQ tests. These averages also do not explain the reasons for these group scores which is an actual area of debate and can cover cultural and social realities that affect different groups more than others.....for example the stereotype of the Jewish or south Asian culture for dedication in education as opposed to missing fathers in black communities and a disregard for excelling in education. All stereotypes of course and contestable explanations but the focus upon the cultural means that we do not have to relate to genetics to explain these group differences. Where the truth lies is probably mixed. However, no one is responsble for nor rightly blamed for their genetics. Also I reject notions that a person's worth should be related to an IQ score. However, I also reject notions that these results don't have relevance and impact for how different groups achieve in society.

If somebody is going to quote, for example Hitler, they had better make sure their quotation marks and referencing is copperfastened. We can all have a little tittle tattle about culture, immigration policy, religious expression, ideology..etc. But racial stereotyping is crossing a legal line. It is hate speech. Instead of throwing around accusations of racism you should know what you are talking about. If it a long established fact that different racial groups have been tested on IQ scores and produce different averages. That's not racism, that's scientific published fact. There are studies taken on in various universities like Harvard who have completed this research. It is decades old now. It is no commentary on any individual who belongs to any racial group. Being black, Jewish, White or whatever is not evidence of being intelligent or anything else. There is an average British IQ as there is an average IQ for most nations......That doesn't mean everyone in Britain has that average. The same applies. Also, the reasons why any group might have any average is a topic for debate. Also, I don't like notions of a person's worth to be attached to something as singular as an IQ rating. I've previously stated this in the thread. Accusations of racism are not appropriate. This was a topic that Maple expanded on because he disbelieved that the IQ score for Jews was correct. Intelligence Tests have long been shown to have cultural bias. we all know the stories of European settlers going to Australia or Papua New Guinea and asking the tribesmen the characteristics of a 'right angle triangle' and concluding ''there , see, all thickies here and so its alright to enslave them and nick their land'' stereotyping is wrong. To back it up with a pseudoscience is the type of thing the Nazi's did. Just because its Harvard doesnt mean anything. Its the use of the science thereafter that is wrong.
