We'll never know how good he is until he leaves Palace for a better team that is regularly in contention for cups and Europe. That's that sad truth.

Have about the club investing in players and pushing for the Europa league.

Wilf is our best player and could easily play for any of the top six.

I have always believed that given the right manager/club he can become one of the best players in Europe. I can see him playing for a Liverpool or Spurs and really flourishing. Truth is it's up to Wilf how good he wants to be.

Best player to ever play for Palace and it'll be a very sad day when he leaves.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

If Moses can leave us and play for Chelsea then Zaha would have no problems playing for a top team.

VicMo is a workhorse though and he has more bowser on how to make that breakthrough ball. Better at crosses imho.

Wilf is better being a large fish in a small pond than a small pond in a large fish

Part of me hopes we’ll never know how good he’ll be for another team, but VKR is right in suggesting he’d have more time on the ball at a bigger club. You can’t surround one player when the whole team are a threat. Adversely he’d have more competition for his place.

A good example is Jesus Navas whilst a Citeh. Imho He looked pony by comparison to others in their team and he didn’t score much, but when Wilf does the same I still think he the Golden Bullocks!

I love watching Wilf play and he brings an extra dimension to our side. Quite how good he is will, I guess, only become clear should he get the chance to play for a top side (again!)

He gets a lot of license at Palace to play his game. We know that he can produce moments of magic and create something out of nothing by turning defenders inside-out. But we also know he can be inconsistent and lose the ball by over-elaborating or by delivering poor crosses.

The question is to what extent would Wilf's indulgences be acceptable at other clubs, particularly the top ones?

I believe he would have to adapt his game somewhat to fit into the quick passing style of the leading clubs where speed and movement are paramount. Actually I am not quite sure how good a first-time passer of the ball Wilf is - it's something we rarely see!

Moses left us to go to Wigan, Chelsea then bought him, but couldn’t find a place for him, sending him out on loan, until Conti converted him to a wingback.
Zaha never seems to play well against the top 6 on a regular basis, because they have better players. That indicates he isn’t as good as being touted about.
Top player for us, but not a top 6 team, he would be just a squad player for them.

Normally watch him from the upper tier of the Holmesdale but saw him at close hand at Bournemouth and must say he was amazing
Desperately don’t want him to leave but he is far too good for us

He'll never get at City or Spurs or the bin dippers and certainly not at the likes of Real Madrid what he gets here which is a) play your own game b) play every week c) the fans worship you and d) agricultural clods in Premier League defences run in terror to the water closet when they see you coming at them with the ball.

He wouldn't be happy sitting on the bench at a team of whatever size and a Champions' League runners-up medal won't mean much if he's played for 20 minutes in a couple of matches and been told to keep the ball near the corner flag and track back when they lose it.

And I think he knows this.

Wilf is a good prem player.

There are days where he is great and unplayable, there are days where he is trying too hard and just can't find his groove.

That's why he should stay at palace, have the freedom, the confidence, the fans... it's good money too

he'd definitely start on most top 6 sides. would be a perfect with with klopp. not mourinho - he'd never play him. he's much better than sterling, in every way. ponch would get a lot out of him but spurs will never pay the fee. doesn't fit with the arsenal.

wz is definitely one of the best players in the league. top 6 including. BUT, he requires a freedom that the top 6 don't usually provide.

What about Ian Wright?
As much as I love Wilf, in my book and based on history that mantle is still Wrighty’s.
However, Wilf has a long career ahead , and I am really hoping it is here. He brings soooo much excitement to every game.
