A few of you might remember this guy playing for palace, think he used to play lb about 10 or do years ago.

Anyhow, I watched him play for Tranmere yesterday, he played in midfield and looked the best player on the pitch. Had time on the ball and a lovely pass on him.

Sadly he has just signed a contract to go back to Northern Ireland and play for Larne next season.

I recall the left-footed Hughes as a player who took free kicks over a wall and had good delivery as set-pieces.

I believe he started as a left-back but of course has played as a winger and a wing-back.I think Warnock saw him as a left-wing back and not a left-back or a winger.A player who could ghost in to score.

It was Peter Taylor who signed him for our club from Lincoln.

Sadly for Tranmere, Larne or us?

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

Thanks for the info. Always interesting to see what old palace players are up to, and good to know that players who have played at a higher level are still enjoying the game at non-league level, rather than just drift out of football.

Being accused of being a Brighton supporter is the ultimate insult !

Don't even cast a glance at their ground on the rare occasions I drive past it on the A27.
