The world has lost an absolute diamond there. I will always remember Alan with great memories. He really was one of the good guys in the world and watching a Palace game with him and the gang was always a pleasure. Such a sad day. All my thoughts and love are with his family. I will be raising a glass to him this evening and at the game next Saturday. And Al.....I promise to honour the 4-0

How sad. RIP Alan. We never did meet but shared several PMs about racing, the Elite Racing Club and our shared opinion that Kuqi was the worst player to ever pull on our shirt. Will miss our chats mate.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

This is very sad news. I never got round to meeting Alan which is a terrible shame but know his son well and have only ever heard very good things. R.I.P Alan.

RIP Alan and condolences to his family and friends. Never met him in real life, but I was the 'sponge and bucket carrier' to his 'trainer' in the virtual reality Palace team.
