Plus no way we can afford someone of the same callibre Is it in our interest to solve this players problems? There is no certainty he will ever get to the standard needed. It may be better to cut and run. there is no doubt his contribution in terms of holding the ball and playing people in is good. But we do need a goal scorer and even a moderately successful one would have given Palace a half decent season.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Benteke' by Midlands Eagle I think the last 2 games we only scored when he came on and he has shown some nice touches - except when given a chance Zaha laid one on a plate against Stoke and he had a clear header v WBA. Reasonable connection but headed straight to keeper rather than down

On his wages, and knowing how important this is to Benteke himself, you would have thought he has taken that route himself. He has even lost his World Cup chance.

C'mon, he has missed so many chances over such a long time, why should it be any better next season? Get a nifty striker in from some where, would suit our style of play better (I think).

He still leads the line well and we play well with him in the team on many occasions. Keep him and get him playing like it’s 2016.
