I'm reading 'the strange death of Europe' and truly it is staggering the incompetence and short termism that the politicians have inflicted upon Europe.

At no time did we have a figure strong enough to stand up and say, what is happening is madness. No Viktor Orbán for England unfortunately.

The English will become a minority in their own country by 2060 according to estimates. It already happened in London a long time ago.

At some point, no doubt, the name of the country will be changed because those who refer to themselves as English will not really remain the dominant demographic.

It's like the scene in The Time Machine where the Eloi just sit and watch the girl drowning. Britain is the drowning girl.

Yep, if Churchill were alive today to see what idiots have done to his country he would be enraged.

Remember, this country arrested a man publicly reading from one of his books a few years back.

A man voted the greatest we produced......that's how screwed up the state has managed to be.

With the number of ex-pats on this board, am I the only one to find this amusing?

Ranks with a similar poster who was off to Dubai to escape the immigrants in the UK.

That is very accurate, ex-pats are often the most bigoted nationalists for their adopted temporary country.

The most fervent German nationalist I knew was a 6'6" tall black serviceman from Dallas, Texas.

His defence of his adopted homelands atrocities was particularly acute and left quite normal German people totally embarrassed.

After England beat Germany 2-1 in Berlin he nearly exploded with indignation and nationalist fervour, his eyeballs bulged and we thought he might burst.

He was so pro-German he had an original VW Beetle, however not all in his new fatherland was working out for him and at the annual TUV (MOT) inspection it was failed for 'metal fatigue' and had to be crushed.

That was one sweet moment for us untermensch.

You had to be there, I suppose.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Labelling again? ex pats bigots?
Try presenting your argument without the need to falsely generalise a group of people, otherwise you come across as racist .
As an ex pat/immigrant and non bigot, I find this constant labelling immature and a tad pathetic.
In Spain you have to work for a year before you qualify for social security and no health care until you start paying taxes.
There are no ghettos where nobody speaks Spanish. The ghettos that do exit are usually inhabited by the gypsy community.
All immigrants as far as I can see speak Spanish. There is no real tension between communities like in the UK, although Im sure there are exceptions.
I myself speak Spanish and have immersed myself into Spanish culture I.e I fall asleep in the afternoon, go to Spanish restaurants and bars speak to my neighbours, as well as mingling with the ex Pat community including Germans, africans et al.

As for your comments about bigots. I find you and the comment embarrassing

I'm not British and it's probably not my place to comment. I've only been to England for football matches and to visit a friend who emigrated to the UK.

He once brought me to a place called Seven Kings. I was actually amazed with the place. There was hardly any white people. I felt like I was in the Middle East or something.

How do all these people in Burka's go about their life? In Ireland they wouldn't be left into a bank, shop or post office as their face is covered. They wouldn't get a national insurance number without having a picture taken.

I know, it's clear Ireland is suffering from a severe lack of cultural enrichment.

Don't worry, it's just a matter of time and you too will soon be enjoying the wide range of diversity's gifts.

All that fighting the English.....I have to chuckle really.

It's chain migration which is the problem in my opinion. In my part of the Bronx I have noticed over the last two years a huge influx of people from the Yemen & Bangaladesh.
I have no problem someone trying to better themselves & doing what's best for them and their families.
What I get bent out of shape about is the amount of so called 'Family members' they are allowed to bring in with them.
This should only be applicable to Spouse & immediate children, not second cousins & aunties.
I shake my head in disbelief that an immigration official has deemed someone applicable for legal status when a few years down the line when they still look as they should be herding goats on a mountainside somewhere.

I think Victor Orban is one of the few politicians in Europe who had the balls to state the truth.

'British jobs for British workers'...Whilst making it harder for that to happen.....those one liners were classics.
