There are a few top players going off the radar, thinking of Dann, Wickham, Sako, Lee and Punch off the cuff. If they could be resurrected to their best who knows. You have to pay a fortune (Van Djik 75 millions) for anybody good so better stay with who you know can play at the top level.

Puncheon has always frustrated me, but in the past just when I was ready to scream he'd play a great game and score or make goals. He hasn't done that for a long time now. In the last couple of seasons he has slowed games down, held onto the ball for too long and given away fouls in dangerous positions. Roy was brave enough to drop him and we never looked back. As much as I love his passion for the club, I don't think he's good enough for us anymore.

People are so quick to write players off. JPs best days are behind him but we need 25 players. We didn’t have a full squad last season and were lucky to get away with it He would make a good squad player, not least because the money to replace him could be better spent elsewhere. It is as much anoutbyhe bigger picture as it is individual players.

Aren't comments on court case allowed Small fine - some community service (unpaid as if that mattered) and shown up as a prick for telling a bouncer to keep his belt and use it to buy a house Is he still club captain? Biggest laugh was his mate getting fined 1000 for taking pictures in court
