Apart from West Ham I haven't really seen any other clubs doing their business around us. Wouldn't be surprised if we are looking into world cup targets, would assume most are now out of the tournament but they'll be on extended holidays. Give us a few weeks and sure we'll have some through the door.

I also have a feeling that RLC is a priority interest of ours and the club are going to have to wait and see how that turns out.

If its another season on loan...then we have money in the kitty for more.

If its on a perm deal...then we wont have much money left in the kitty.

Why spend it all early only to find out we had a chance of signing RLC and missed out. Once the world cup is over and the RLC deal is confirmed one way or the other I am sure we will see more movement from the club.

RLC is not coming back on loan or permanent transfer. This was confirmed on the Facebook group by one of the guys who usually has half an idea.

Also stated that another Chelsea player turned down the chance to join us on loan, which I think was Tammy Abraham.

Things are not looking good with all of the Wilf talk either...

Agree that RLC is a priority worth waiting for, his value will treble in the future and he is only going to get better for us becoming a main force for us in years to come.

We've got our goalkeeper, defence is fine already. We only need some more quality up front and replacements for Cabaye and Sako. The rest will all be brought into add depth to the squad.

I don't agree. I think we will get RLC back on loan and I certainly wouldn't take too much notice of someone on Facebook who has "half an idea". Usually.

Honestly I'm not that worried with the transfer dealings so far. We went out and got a first choice keeper in January and now we have two relatively solid backups.

We have two right backs + Kelly and Tomkins.
Four centre backs + Jach (Innis). Dann is on the tour so possibly he's back fit soon.
Two left backs + Schlupp and Riedewald (Ward).

Three out an out strikers + Wilf and Townsend who can play there when it is a straight 442.

In a 442, our wingers could be Townsend, Wilf, Schlupp, McArthur, Puncheon + young players may get a chance like Lokilo, Lumeka, Kirby. We are still short in this area I'd say though.

Centre midfield we are probably short by one as well now that Cabaye has left. Just Luka, McArthur, Riedewald + possibly Puncheon, Kirby (I won't count Williams).

IMO we need to signings, one winger who could play there in both 442 and 433 and one centre midfielder who can do a bit of everything. We really don't need to panic just yet, we clearly don't have much money after all of our extortionate spending on transfers and wages so we need to get the right players at the right price.

I think we know the exact amount it will take to get RLC, Chelsea are bound to have told us...I think we are waiting to find out what RLC before making a move. Once weknow if we can get him, one of 2 things will happen...

1-We buy him and we might have enough for a couple of little bargains to replace our losses...
2-We dont buy him and we can get several players to upgrade our first 11

We cant do anything until we know if we can get him or not and we are not in a position to find out right now, hes a bit busy. Once we do, we will get things rolling...

It wouldn’t surprise me if we have a very low key transfer dealings in this window. If I recall Steve Parish did mention a season back that the club can’t keep spending like they have and this messy business about the overdue accounts still seems strange and wonder if that will have any impact.
A number of players have signed new contracts, which does give the club stability and of course with Wickham now training with the first team he will be like a new addition, but I have my doubts about him after such a horrendous injury and I would like to see us get another striker in as cover. I do wonder if our priority will be just to replace Cabaye with Loftus-Cheek and off course Southgate has ban transfer talk and agents from the England camp.

Typical Palace. Do the dustmen not change the bins around Selhurst until a few days before the transfer window closes ? Seriously though, a "something different" striker is surely a must.

Strikers: Benteke, Soerloth, Wickham

Wingers: Zaha, Townsend
Mid: Macarthur, Puncheon
DMid: Milivojevic, Riedewald

LB: Van Anholt, Schlupp, Souare
CB: Sakho, Tomkins, Kelly, Dann, Jach
RB: Wan Bissaka, Ward
GK: Gaita, Henny, Speroni

If the team is broke there's a few free agents that might be useful like Milan Badelj, Robin Lod, Georgi Milanov, Rafal Kurzawa and Alessio Cerci.

Otherwise we could sell a defender to finance a move for a midfielder or 2 and a winger.

I don't think a Puncheon & Macarthur duo would take us far. And we also gotta hope that Benteke's gotten some confidence back. If he plays like he did this year and Soerloth or Wickham don't step up, were gonna be easy to defend against.

Have I missed something? Has Bakary left, I didn't think this was the case.

And he's not in the squad for the Swedish tour, so he's definitely gone.
