So yes, property is cheap, but without hope it may as well be free. Which is why the youngsters who want to make something of themselves tend to move into Cardiff, Bristol or even further away. There is no heavy industry for the less academically gifted youngsters to be employed by so the vicious circle just keeps turning no hope - crime/drugs - youth pregnancies - no hope.
