If it happens one plus to this signing is that he’s a player with resale value. One reason we’re cash strapped is that you only need about two fingers to count the players we’ve made a profit on in the last few years. I’m taking it as read that if he comes off the big boys will be in for him. But that is just the reality of the PL

I'm reading that his agent has sanctioned a medical but will listen to other offers up until the point he signs, so could be a few days yet if he does. Wouldn't get our hopes up too much yet.

That’s more than a lot of people will earn in a lifetime; merely to put such a ‘small’ amount into perspective.

This is similar to Liverpool compensating is for clyne or Spurs for bostockoff.

I'll be amazed if he comes and doubly amazed if he makes an impact without unsettling other players in the squad as his weekly wage is gonna be huge. Only thing that worries me is that it sounds to good to be true. A bit like that really fit bird you graft and she's up for it ... and you find out she's a f*cken psycho who everyone's had a go on aka damaged goods!
